Rafael Cortes submitted the following photo and note: “My Zenith Zodiac 601XL resting at Beaumont, Texas, after a long flight. It needed some sleep (or maybe I needed some sleep) before another long flight back home to San Antonio the next day.”

I have been a regular reader for a while now. Even though I live in Sydney AUS. I enjoy the stories and photographs. I don’t own an G.A.Plane but I do fly my PREPAR3D simulator with small aircraft and the big jets as well. I enjoy the ILS approaches and flying VFR. Today I will copy Rafaels’s flight between Beaumont and San Antonio. I will fly in my Caranado TBM850.
That’s awesome! In that bird at 250 knots it should take you only about an hour. In my Zenith at 80 knots with the headwind I had and avoiding the weather it took me about 3.5 hours. LOL.
The full flight was from Marianna, FL (KMAI) to Picayune, MS (KMJD), to Beaumont, TX (KBMT), to San Geronimo Airpark in San Antonio, TX (8T8).
In the TBM 850 you can probably fly direct from KMAI to KSAT, LOL.
Have fun in the sim! I am getting into Sim now using X-Plane VR. Not as much fun fun as flying, but way cheaper!
