Knowing we all need an airshow fix right about now, Frederick A. Johnsen has just posted a new video to YouTube, “Best of B-17s.”
Johnsen is the force behind the Airailimages YouTube channel and the Of Wings & Things columnist for General Aviation News.
In his introduction to the video, Johnsen asks viewers to “please think about donating to the organizations who fly and maintain vintage aircraft for all to enjoy. Costs keep going up, and the lack of venues this summer can make it tough.”
“In the video you will see B-17 Flying Fortresses from the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), Commemorative Air Force (CAF), Liberty Foundation (and Erickson Aircraft Collection and Tallichet Military Aircraft Restoration Corporation) and the Collings Foundation. You will see brief glimpses from venues like SUN ‘n FUN in Lakeland, Florida, and EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin — both canceled for 2020.”
