CHANDLER, Arizona — GateOne has acquired Chandler Air Service, the sole FBO at Arizona’s Chandler Municipal Airport (KCHD). It will eventually have a new name: GateOne Chandler.
The acquisition includes an 8,000-square-foot office building with a pilot shop, flight instructor offices, classroom and study areas, a conference room that seats 12, a break room, and lounge areas, as well as a 14,000-square-foot hangar, and an 8,000-square-foot maintenance hangar.
It also includes all of Chandler Air Service’s business lines: FBO services, a Part 141 flight school, aircraft rentals with a fleet of 21 aircraft, and maintenance, according to the new owners.
While the FBO remains open through the transitionary period, a number of updates are already in the works, company officials noted. The FBO terminal and maintenance departments will be updated and GateOne officials are in discussions with airport management to build additional hangars.
GateOne will keep the FBO’s staff and leadership, officials added.
The acquisition brings the GateOne FBO family to three locations, including Cedar City, Utah (KCDC), San Antonio, Texas (KSSF), and Chandler, Arizona (KCHD).
