David Freeland submitted this photo and note: “This was taken at Beaumont Hotel Airport (07S) in Kansas, right across the street from the hotel where you can get a great meal and a room for the night. The hotel is a short distance from the grass strip and you have to taxi down one of the city streets to reach parking just off of main street. The Red Beech 18 seen in the background was once owned by Barry Seal.”

Beaumont Hotel is a great place to visit. I did all my flight training in Tulsa and would fly up there for a quick getaway. When I started teaching it was my ‘dead recogning’ destination.
Paul –
Are you still a CFI, and how long since you brought a student to the Beaumont Hotel?
I am the airport consultant to the Beaumont Hotel and am preparing a grant application through KS DOT – Div. of Aviation for $100k to extend the runway 900 ft. The deadline is Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021.
I could use a letter of support from you about your getaway trips to Beaumont from Tulsa and CFI experience using Beaumont for flight instruction.
Thanks –
Rick Bryant
