2022 dates for Lycoming Engine School released

Lycoming Engines has released its 2022 schedule for the Lycoming Engines Service School, a training program for maintenance professionals, pilots, aircraft owners, and those building experimental aircraft.

The five-day course includes a review of Lycoming service publications and manuals and covers construction, theory of operation, and servicing of Lycoming reciprocating engines. Additional topics include inspection, servicing, and troubleshooting of related components. Incorporated into the program is a hands-on training component with teams working on 4-cylinder Lycoming O-360 engines, learning proper procedures for engine disassembly and reassembly, company officials explain.

Each day includes four hours of theory-based training and four hours of hands-on training.

  • Feb. 7-11
  • Feb. 14-18
  • Feb. 21-25
  • March 28-April 1
  • April 4-8
  • May 16-20
  • May 23-27
  • Sept. 12-16
  • Sept. 19-23
  • Sept. 26-30
  • Oct. 24-28
  • Oct. 31-Nov 4

Courses are held at Lumley Aviation Center at Williamsport Regional Airport (KIPT) in Pennsylvania.

Cost for the course is $1,690. The training can be used for Inspection Authorization renewal.
