FBOs offer deals for pilots flying to Oshkosh

By General Aviation News Staff · June 23, 2022 ·

Fuel prices are hitting record levels as pilots around the country prepare to fly to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, for EAA AirVenture Oshkosh.

As the industry ramps up for the big show, slated for July 25-31, 2022, GlobalAir.com has added a list to its site of deals being offered by FBOs around the country to pilots flying to Oshkosh, such as discounts on fuel, food, and camping.

Just a week into the launch of the annual Oshkosh Specials page in the GlobalAir.com Airport Resource Center, FBOs from the South to the Midwest began posting deals including up to 50 cents off each gallon of 100LL gas and jet fuel, along with free hot dogs, according to company officials.

“This is the biggest celebration of the year in aviation and for some of the most passionate people in the world,” said GlobalAir.com CFO Elisa Carrithers. “It’s also wonderful to be able to help a private pilot catch a break when paying more than $7 a gallon to fly.”

The 2022 Oshkosh Specials program coincides with the recent relaunch of the GlobalAir.com Airport Resource Center, used by pilots to research FBO fuel prices, aviation weather, and FAA airport data.

OSH has got to be worried about attendance this year because of fuel prices. Whether you’re flying your bird or pulling your RV fuel costs are worrisome. FBO’s encouraging by discounts and food are to be commended for their help.
