By General Aviation News Staff · July 6, 2022 ·

MT Propeller has received an FAA STC to install its Quiet Fan Jet 5-blade propeller on Beech King Air 300s and 350s.

The STC is for King Airs powered by Pratt & Whitney PT6A-60A/-67A engines and a maximum takeoff weight up to 17,636 pounds.

According to MT-Propeller President Gerd Muehlbauer, the new prop:

  • Provides an 8% improvement in takeoff and climb and an additional 4 to 5 knots in cruise
  • Has no propeller speed restrictions on the ground while operating in low idle
  • Has more ground clearance for less FOD
  • Has FOD repairable blades
  • Provides “significant” cabin noise and vibration reduction
  • Has no life limitation
