Picture of the Day: Winter in Wyoming

By General Aviation News Staff · December 8, 2022 ·

Dean Carrell submitted this photo and note: “My 1982 Arctic Tern in the winter. The Terns were made in Alaska from 1975 to 1985 with only 30 built. They are a souped-up version of the Interstate, made to compete with Super Cubs. About a dozen are still flying. Mine has been in Wyoming its entire life.”

Great looking plane. I’d been to Dal’s shop… he also had a sim that he readied me for a ck ride. Recently I was wondering about those planes now i know a little more.
I’m in Anchorage, just returned without my C-185 which i flew to SC for the winter… fun cross country adventure.. will return in the spring.
