Is that Gene Soucy in his Showcat? If so, more power to the old guys! When I was a 15 year old line boy in 1973 at Kentucky Flying Service, Bowman Field, Louisville, Gene was flying the family Pitts. I used to sweep out the large hangar floor around it and imagine what it would be like to fly. Eventually I learned to fly acro in a Pitts, from Red Baron Stearman pilot Keoki Gray. Thank’s Gene, for the inspiration! Another KFS line boy was the late Mike Loehle, form Loehle kitplane fame. He and his young bride ran an ultralight flight school back then, flying from a county park! Try that today!
