Daher’s Aircraft Division has joined with the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) to create an international internship program.
The trans-Atlantic internship will provide two North American students with “opportunities for hands-on industry experience, plus extensive contacts with workers, managers, pilots, and aircraft operators,” according to officials.
The selected students will spend eight weeks at job assignments in their areas of interest at the headquarters and production facility of Daher’s Aircraft Division in Tarbes, France, followed by a week of supporting Daher during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2023.
Travel expenses and living allowances are covered by the internship.
Applicants should be 18 to 24 years of age, with U.S. or Canadian citizenship, and enrolled as a full-time student pursuing an associate, undergraduate, or graduate degree.
The selection will be based on three elements: A resume and a mandatory cover letter explaining why the applicant is the best candidate for the position, supported by examples of interests and achievements, and a 40-second video introducing the candidate and describing his or her expectations for the internship.
Deadline for submissions is March 20, 2023.
The application can be submitted here or sent to [email protected] if the file size is too big to upload.
The people chosen for the new internships will be announced during the SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo on March 28 in Lakeland, Florida.
