Aircraft refueling mat introduced

By General Aviation News Staff · September 6, 2023 ·

Sam Mannino Enterprises has introduced an aircraft refueling mat that protects general aviation aircraft from scratches and leaks while refueling.

“With heavy-duty and water-resistant material, this mat is made to withstand the most challenging conditions, keeping aircraft wings in pristine condition through all 30,000 flights of an aircraft’s life cycle,” company officials said.

Price: $99.99. As part of the launch of the refueling mat, Mannino Enterprises is offering a 10% coupon, along with another 10% discount, when you buy the mat on Amazon. This deal is available until Sept. 30, 2023.

Great idea. I think I’ll make one. Shouldn’t cost more than $5. Might take 5 minutes to neatly cut a hole in it to go around the gas port. If I value my time at $180/hour, that brings up the cost to $20.

I use a plastic bathtub mat. The suction cups hold it in place.

    Right on Kent.
Nice idea, but $100.00? —I don’t think so.
It’s not like it had to go through the expense of an FAA certification process.
This is a $25.00 item at best.
I cut my own in 1976 for $3.00 and it’s still going strong.

Nice. I could cut one though from a $10 car floor mat. Just sayin….
