ASA updates Guide to the Flight Review

By General Aviation News Staff · November 12, 2024 · Leave a Comment

Aviation Supplies & Academics (ASA) has released the ninth edition of “Guide to the Flight Review,” by Jason Blair.

A study tool for pilots and instructors when gearing up for a Flight Review, the guide lists questions with answers supported with FAA references to help rusty pilots refresh their knowledge, and to help instructors follow compliance with the FAA steps and requirements while conducting a flight review, according to ASA officials.

The ninth edition, which reflects the latest FAA procedures and regulations, covers pilot privileges and limitations, aircraft maintenance, drone operations, weather, aerodynamics, aircraft performance, navigation, communications, regulations, airspace, airport operations, risk management, system operations and malfunctions, human factors, and more.

The guide also includes a sample written exercise, a table summarizing maneuvers and Airman Certification Standard (ACS) tolerances, as well as appendices with checklists, personal minimums, and an over-the-counter medications reference.

The guide is available as a softcover book or eBook for $19.95.
