Flying Caddy introduced

By General Aviation News Staff · March 13, 2025 · 3 Comments

Terral Aviation has introduced the Flying Caddy.

Purpose-built for general aviation aircraft, the Flying Caddy is designed to combat common cockpit clutter, according to company officials.

With dimensions of 10 inches x 6 inches x 5 inches, the console can hold everything from iPads and phones to pens, paper, and even oversized Yeti cups, company officials added.

Key features:

  • Manufactured using PC and ABS plastics, the Flying Caddy boasts the same materials found in automotive dashboards and interiors. UV-resistant additives enhance its durability, ensuring the product withstands extended exposure to sunlight and extreme cockpit conditions, according to company officials.
  • Weighs 2.2 pounds.
  • The secure attachment system, with built-in Velcro, ensures the Flying Caddy is securely fastened to vinyl or carpet cockpit flooring. This ensures it stays in place during turbulent flights or quick maneuvers, officials noted.

Aircraft Compatibility

Tailored for general aviation, the Flying Caddy fits almost all models of Cessnas that have electric flaps. It also fits many other aircraft, including Piper and Beechcraft models, as well as helicopters.

Price: $199.98.

glad to read the prior comments – my explanation when I searched for this item was a loud WTF! just because it is an aviation product? WTH? okay, I am done cussing, but really? it looks like a great item but I would rather spend the money on fuel… I will continue with what I am already doing to try to keep things organized…. whew!
I hope the manufacturer reads our comments – and shame on General Aviation News for “selling” this thing in the news to us!

In consideration of the price, the caddy must have gone through years of research, development and testing to satisfy acquiring an FAA STC.
Guess it comes with a 337 and is subject to revised weight and balance calculations to be signed off by an IA.
It’s either all of the above or is imported from China with a 250% tariff attached.

I thought this was an April Fool’s joke, but you’re a week early. $200 for a dollar store plastic sorting tray? Aviation is a strange world.
