Duncan Aviation at KBTL approved as FAA testing center

By General Aviation News Staff · October 9, 2025 · Leave a Comment

Duncan Aviation’s location at Battle Creek Executive Airport at Kellogg Field (KBTL) in Michigan has been approved as an FAA Testing Center.

Located within Duncan Aviation’s Technical Education Center (TEC), this is the only Duncan Aviation location with this designation, according to company officials.

The new FAA Testing Center in Battle Creek serves:

  • Aspiring pilots pursuing private, commercial, and advanced certifications
  • Aviation mechanics seeking certification
  • Other aviation professionals, including flight instructors and engineers

Available testing capabilities include:

  • Knowledge tests for pilots, mechanics, and other aviation professionals
  • FAA-approved testing materials and supplement books
  • Secure, standardized environment for exam integrity

The testing center will serve not only Duncan Aviation employees testing for new certifications, but also students from nearby flight and Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) schools, providing greater access to the exams required for certifications and career advancement, according to company officials.

For questions regarding the testing center reach out to [email protected].
