A new aviation program at Texas A&M University-Victoria will take off in the fall of 2026.
The degree program will offer a professional pilot pathway and an aviation management pathway, according to university officials.
Enabled by a $3 million appropriation from the state of Texas, the program seeks to open the aviation field to a broader range of students, including many first-generation college students, officials added.
