Trig Avionics introduces next generation compact transponder

By General Aviation News Staff · November 15, 2025 · Leave a Comment

Trig Avionics has introduced the TT23, the next generation of its compact transponder line.

The TT23 is a certified Class 1, Mode S transponder with ADS-B Out, suitable for both VFR and IFR flight.

The new transponder module design is smaller and up to 15% lighter than its predecessors, reducing weight and space needs while introducing new capabilities for pilots, according to company officials.

The transponder is available in two versions:

  • TT23G, which features a built-in GPS receiver.
  • TT23 is the same compact transponder without an internal GPS. For aircraft with a GPS position source on board, the TT23 can be used as an ADS-B Out solution, including type-certificated aircraft in the U.S.

An STC will be available to integrate with popular third-party GPS navigators, as well as the Trig TN70 Remote position source, company officials added.

The TT23, which builds on the company’s TT21 and TT22 transponders, include a built-in altitude encoder and feature an LCD screen.

The TT23 and TT23G are available now through approved Trig Dealers.
