I recently learned of the RAF and immediately joined as well as I made an additional donation to the group. I am 72 years old and have been a pilot since I soloed 3 weeks before my 16th birthday… in my Dad’s Aeronca 7AC Champ., back in 1970. Due to recent health issues I have lost my medical, but fortunately, I have also been a flight sim junkie since the beginning in 1982. The beauty of the new MSFS2020 and MSFS2024 flight simulation is that I can enjoy all of the beauty and challenge of flying with this great group of people all around the US. We actually have an RAF airport, not 8 miles from my home in Northern New Hampshire (1B5). I have 5 simulators with over 200 different types of aircraft/helicopters and I have over 32 different PIC controls so that I can accurately represent the cockpit layout of all the different A/C…but, now I spend a tremendous amount of time flying my Cessna 185 with Tundra tires in and out of many RAF Airports and my journey is to experience every airport that is an RAF airport!!!
