Bizjet, piston sales up so far in 2025

By General Aviation News Staff · December 3, 2025 · Leave a Comment

The sales of business jets and piston airplanes rose in the first nine months of 2025, while all other sectors experienced a decline in sales.

According to the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) third quarter 2025 General Aviation Aircraft Shipment and Billing Report, in the first nine months of 2025, the sale of business jets increased 10.6%, with 554 sold.

Piston airplanes experienced a much lower increase, just 0.4%, with 1,238 sold as compared to 1,233 in the same time frame last year.

Turboprop sales fell 6%, with 409 sold, compared to 435 in 2024.

Even with those declining sales, the value of airplane deliveries through the third quarter of 2025 was $19.4 billion, an increase of 13.2%.

Helicopter shipments through the third quarter of 2025, when compared to the same period in 2024, saw piston helicopters decrease by six to 149, while turbine helicopters decreased by 3.1% to 463. The value of civil-commercial helicopter deliveries was $3.1 billion, a 16% gain over 2024’s $2.7 billion.
