In Part 3 of our new series, “Where’s Jamail?” we catch up with Jamail Larkins, the FAA Ambassador for Aviation & Space Education, in Wilmington, Delaware, as he travels the country on his DreamLaunch tour, spreading the good news about aviation to students.
Jamail shares: “When Lyndse Costabile of Aviation Influence calls, no matter the question, the answer is always yes.”
“Aviation Influence has become a powerhouse in aviation outreach — and Wilmington is just one of the examples that prove it. More than 1,000 students showed up early on a Saturday to explore aviation careers, connect with organizations, and compete for nearly $30,000 in available scholarships. One of the biggest highlights? A private tour of an Avelo Airlines 737.”

“DreamLaunch may spark interest, but long-term development requires partners who help students grow beyond that first spark,” Jamail continues. “Organizations like Aviation Influence, Black Women in Aviation, and the Academy of Model Aeronautics ensure students we help inspire get the guidance, mentorship, and resources needed to develop a real career in aviation.”
Question of the Day: “I had to laugh when high schoolers were asking if I would recommend a Part 141 or a Part 61 flight school, because they are already light years ahead of me in high school!”
