Mini Glass Panels introduced for experimental aircraft

By General Aviation News Staff · December 18, 2025 · 1 Comment

RADIANT Technology, a maker of compact avionics for experimental and light aircraft, has expanded its Safe-series product line with a new line of Mini Glass Panels.

The new line includes a turn coordinator, altimeter/VSI, and airspeed vertical tape, according to company officials. An AGL (Above Ground Level) mode provides a dedicated AGL vertical tape for pattern work and low-altitude operations.

“Pilots have been asking for a compact, modern backup that feels like a bigger glass,” said James Wiebe, President and CEO of RADIANT Technology. “SafePanel is our answer: A true Mini Glass safety net that doesn’t fight your panel space or your budget. It gives you a primary flight display (PFD) backup attitude for turn, yaw, altitude, VSI, airspeed, and AGL when you need it most.”

SafePanel’s display design was built to look and feel like a scaled-down glass panel, with rounded corners and eight levels of dimming, providing brightness control from bright daytime cockpits to dark-night IFR, company officials add.

Instruments are offered in both a 2-1/4 inch and 3-1/8 inch panel cutout.

The SafePanel Mini Glass ALT/VSI/AGL is priced at $299.95, while the SafePanel Mini Glass ALT/VSI/AGL/ASI is priced at $499.95 An ASI Dongle, a dedicated add-on airspeed sensor, is available as an upgrade for existing SafePanel owners at $199.95.
