By General Aviation News Staff · January 20, 2026 · 2 Comments

MT-Propeller has received an EASA STC for the installation of its 3-blade scimitar light-weight natural composite propeller on Cessna Skylane 182 Series Models 182S and 182T powered by Lycoming IO-540-AB1A5 engines.

The FAA STC is in progress, according to officials with the German company.

According to MT-Propeller Vice President Martin Albrecht, the installation features:

  • Up to 9 kg (19.8 pounds) lighter
  • Vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration-free propeller operations
  • Bonded on nickel alloy leading edge for erosion protection of the blades
  • Unlimited blade life
  • FOD repairable blades.

It seems articles about products should always include the price. That’s immediately when anyone who is interested in the propeller for their Aircraft wants to know.
