New Prop STC’d for Mooneys

MT-Propeller has received an EASA STC for the installation of its 3-blade natural composite propeller on the Mooney M20. An FAA STC is in progress.

The STC covers the following models: M20A, M20B, M20C, and M20D, powered by Lycoming Engines O-360-A1A and O-360-A1D (M20); O-360-A1A and O-360-A1D (M20B); O-360-A1A and O-360-A1D (M20C); and O-360A1D and O-360-A2D (M20D).

According to MT-Propeller Vice President Martin Albrecht, the installation features:

  • Up to 7 kg (15.4 pounds) lighter
  • Vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operations
  • Stainless steel leading edges
  • Unlimited blade life
  • FOD repairable blades.
