Cirrus Aircraft has introduced the next evolution of its jet product line with the new Generation 3 (G3) Vision Jet.
The G3 Vision Jet includes a reimagined interior with an expanded seating option, as well as ATC Datalink and more than 30 refinements to the jet, according to company officials.
The G3 Vision Jet can seat a total of seven occupants (six adults, one child) with a third-row bench seat. The cabin also showcases newly designed seating, tray tables, personal device mount locations, and interior aesthetic enhancements, company officials noted.

Flight Deck Enhancements
The G3 Vision Jet adds Perspective Touch+ flight deck features, including:
- ATC Datalink: Pilots can text to communicate with air traffic control to receive route updates, altitude assignments and more.
- Alerts-Linked Checklists: Provide quick access to relevant checklists in high-workload scenarios when a caution or warning alert may arise.
- Taxiway Routing and 3D SafeTaxi: Increased situational awareness in airport environments with airport surface maps and directions for navigating unfamiliar airports.

The jet also includes the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) and Safe Return Emergency Autoland, company officials said.
Cirrus is now delivering the G3 Vision Jet.

“The G3 Vision Jet can seat a total of seven occupants (six adults, one child) with a third-row bench seat.”, not realistic with the current design limitations. Filling all the available seats requires leaving a significant amount of fuel to maintain weight limits which will result very limited range. Until the fundamental issue with this aircraft is not addressed, higher gross weight limit (and one can argue for higher fuel capacity, higher service ceiling and/or perhaps a more powerful engine for better range), this plane is basically a two-three adult with baggage and useful range machine. In my opinion, the G3 is not a substantial upgrade to the existing G2+ model, particularly if the price is set higher.
