Mini Glass Backup Instrument Debuts

By General Aviation News Staff · February 13, 2026 · 1 Comment

Radiant Technology has introduced SafeTurn Plus, a portable, battery-backed backup instrument built for general aviation and experimental aircraft pilots that adds Altitude, VSI, and AGL to a turn coordinator.

“Backup instruments shouldn’t feel like toys — and they shouldn’t require rewiring your airplane,” said James Wiebe, President and CEO of Radiant. “SafeTurn Plus is purpose-built for pilots who want a compact, independent instrument they can trust: Turn coordination at the core, plus the altitude, vertical trend, and AGL cues that matter every flight.”

Introductory price is $249.95, which will be available until July 26, 2026 (the conclusion of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh).

When this was first announced during introductory price was $99. I sent them money waited for months never delivered. I did get my money back but now I understand why they’re intro price was so low and they never delivered!
