High Flying Hangars recently received approval from the Manassas City Council for a new hangar project at Manassas Regional Airport (KHEF) in Prince William County, Virginia.
The project includes 35 hangars in a combination of sizes, according to officials with the Albuquerque-based company.
More than 400 aircraft are based at KHEF, but owners face a wait list of up to three years, company officials said.
“This multimillion-dollar investment will help meet the growing demand for aircraft hangar space and represents a significant commitment to the continued growth and success of our airport,” said Juan E. Rivera, airport manager.
The design plan can be viewed on the High Flying Hangars website. Hangars are available in two sizes: 2,000 square feet (50 feet by 40 feet) and 3,600 square feet (60 feet by 60 feet).
