Airglas has introduced a Cargo Pod — an aerodynamically optimized external storage solution designed specifically for Cessna 172 and Cessna 175 aircraft.

The cargo pod has been STC’d for nearly all C172 and C175 models, according to officials with the Anchorage-based company.

Benefits include:

  • Increased storage capacity for tools, equipment, luggage, and specialized cargo.
  • Weather-resistant composite construction.
  • Aerodynamically optimized to minimize drag and preserve performance.
  • Load up to 168 pounds in the belly pod and not inside the aircraft.
