Sporty’s and the Seaplane Pilots Association have launched a national seaplane photo contest.
From March 15 through Aug. 15, 2026, entrants can submit their best seaplane images for a chance to win a $1,000 Sporty’s Gift Card and to have their photo featured on the cover of a future edition of the Sporty’s Pilot Shop Catalog. Second and third place winners will each receive a $500 Sporty’s Gift Card. Submitted photos will also be eligible for inclusion in the Seaplane Pilots Association’s annual calendar.
“Seaplanes represent adventure, freedom, and the pure joy of flight,” said Steve McCaughey, Executive Director of the SPA. “This contest celebrates the unique beauty of backcountry docks, coastal harbors, and remote lakes that define the seaplane community.”
