New Flight Training Partner for Vermont State University

By General Aviation News Staff · March 24, 2026 · Leave a Comment

Infinity Flight Group (IFG) has been named the new flight training partner for Vermont State University, taking over the university’s professional pilot program at Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport (KBTV) from Vermont Flight Academy.

The transition will occur in two phases, according to company officials. IFG will assume responsibility for non-VTSU flight training operations beginning in the summer of 2026, with VTSU student flight training launching at the start of the Fall 2026 semester.

IFG, led by Vermont native Gregory John, operates FAA-approved collegiate and professional pilot training programs across the Eastern U.S.

As part of this new phase of flight training in Vermont, IFG will introduce Cessna 172 aircraft equipped with Garmin G1000 avionics, upgraded simulator technology, and standardized FAA-approved curriculum aligned with current industry standards, company officials noted.
