Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed Senate Bill 422 April 23, 2026, prohibiting Florida airports from using Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) data to track, assess, or collect landing fees.
The new law, which becomes effective July 1, 2026, applies to aircraft weighing 12,500 pounds or less under Part 91.
Montana passed a similar bill in May 2025.
