Ronald Vandervort submitted this photo and note: “My RV-6 in flight. The picture was taken from Hal Downe’s RV-6A over Apex Airpark (8W5) in Washington State.
“This aircraft, which has 2,000 hours on it, is named Magic as I built it in my own shop and it carries its occupants to magical places. It has been to six nations, including Mexico, Canada, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, and all around the perimeter of the USA. During the build it was inspected every Saturday morning by the Apex Saturday Morning Coffee Group. It is the central player in the life of this aviation nut — and continues so, as I now have it hangared at the Ashland Airport (S03) in Oregon.”
