European Single-Structure Hangar Houses Debut in U.S.

Dutch-Houses has partnered with Aeroview Design to launch a high-end integrated hangar home concept in the United States general aviation market. The partnership introduces a single-structure engineered solution that integrates private aircraft hangars directly into residential properties.

According to company officials, the layout focuses heavily on operational efficiency, offering direct taxiway access, efficient hangar usability, and premium finishes. The configuration is designed to remedy common layout challenges by combining spaces seamlessly, company officials explain.

“This is not just about building homes next to a runway,” said Sjoerd-Jan van Klaarbergen of Dutch-Houses. “It’s about designing from a pilot’s perspective — where your aircraft, your hangar, and your living space function as one.”

The U.S. rollout is structured to accommodate any airpark or individual property owner who reaches out to the firms. To streamline fulfillment, the companies do not ship physical structural materials across the Atlantic. Instead, they deliver architectural blueprints and material lists to buyers, collaborating directly with builders to oversee construction.

Preview layout downloads are available online, while final customized drawing sets start at a base price of $37,727, as of May 22, 2026.

“Aeroview Design recognizes the exceptional level of technical detailing and structural engineering behind the Dutch-Houses concept,” said a spokesperson for Aeroview Design.

While the concept is entirely new to the American market, the firm is currently applying the design internationally. This includes a 38-home development at Drachten Airport in the Netherlands, alongside a development proposal at Siljan Airpark intended to maximize tight ground-usage restrictions via vertical penthouse-over-hangar layouts.

Pilots and airpark developers can review specific project capabilities and connect with U.S. coordinators at Dutch-Houses.com or browse design environments at AeroviewDesign.co.
