New Helicopter Scholarship Takes Off

By General Aviation News Staff · July 8, 2026 · Leave a Comment

Mark Robinson, an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner and flight instructor for MrDPE.com, has introduced a new scholarship for helicopter flight training.

“We are offering a helicopter scholarship because the industry needs more career rotorcraft pilots and we want to give back and encourage aviation to anybody who has a restriction to entry,” says Robinson.

The scholarship started in 2026 with a minimum value of $7,100, which is paid out upon completion of course training with a helicopter flight school.

The winner of the scholarship will come from four chosen finalists selected from the candidate submissions due Jan. 10 each year.
