At EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026, the Charles A. and Anne Morrow Lindbergh Foundation officially launched the global countdown to one of the most significant milestones in aviation history: The 100th Anniversary of the Spirit of St. Louis flight.
Part of the celebrations will be The Spirit of St. Louis 100 Centennial Charter Flight, a six-day, all-business-class private jet experience, which will retrace Charles Lindbergh’s legendary journey from New York to Paris.
Along the way, participants will enjoy exclusive access to museums, archives, historic sites, aviation institutions, special guest speakers, and behind-the-scenes experiences that tell the story of Lindbergh’s achievement and its lasting impact on aviation, according to foundation officials.
On May 21, 2027, exactly 100 years after Charles Lindbergh landed before an estimated crowd of more than 150,000 people, the charter is expected to arrive at Le Bourget Airport in Paris, joining international commemorative events celebrating Lindbergh’s feat.
“The centennial is about bringing the aviation community and the world together to celebrate one of history’s greatest achievements while inspiring and challenging the next generation of innovators and explorers,” said Erik Lindbergh, Charles Lindbergh’s grandson. “Charles Lindbergh changed the world as a young man. This is an example of what young people can accomplish when they are challenged and supported. It is our job today to stoke that fire for the next generation of pioneers.”
Proceeds from the Centennial Charter will be used for the foundation’s programs designed to inspire the next generation of aviators.
