From the Innospec Information Update AvBrief.com published:
“In response to concerns within the GA sector regarding the future availability of TEL-B for 100LL avgas, Innospec is issuing this information update to advise that no firm timelines on the cessation of TEL-B production have been made and that we will communicate any future decisions regarding TEL-B production to all relevant GA stakeholders.”
While their update isn’t terribly specific, it is nice to hear from Innospec.
In the absence of any public comments, the 100LL market has been all over the place in recent months.
No matter what the next few years hold, Innospec will be a part of the story.
Yes, that is reassuring, so that 100LL can continue to be produced if/ when no unleaded ‘drop-in’ fuel emerges by 2030.

I noted that a number of states with metal smelters or old lead processing companies have 2.0 or higher lead emissions 24/7, vs our aircraft low, intermittent emissions.!
