Jan Nademlejnsky submitted this photo and note: “This is my flying toy, a motorized hang glider trike, the Apollo DeltaJet2. It’s made in Hungary and powered by a Rotax 912 UL 80-hp engine. I cruise comfortably at 70 knots while burning about 3.96 USG per hour of regular auto gas, giving me about 3.5 hours of endurance. A trike is the easiest aircraft to fly and to learn, with only a single control point for steering. My home airport, CYKA in Kamloops, British Columbia, sits in the heart of remarkable natural beauty. The landscape here is endlessly diverse no matter where you fly or where you look. In this open cockpit, with roughly 270° of unobstructed view, I can fully appreciate my surroundings.”
“This picture was taken in June 2026 near Raft Mountain at 6,000 feet, north of the village of Clearwater. I fly with five mounted video cameras continually recording my progress and the extreme nature all around. I’ve covered 32,700 miles of tracks and created more than 570 YouTube videos. My adventures are documented on my site Freedom-of-Flying.ca.”
