Sparky Barnes submitted this photo and note: “Emma Herrington Crawford, a professional biplane ferry pilot, was ferrying this Waco Classic from Kentucky to Florida when she stopped by McMinn County Airport (KMMI) in Tennessee for fuel. She was clearly having a great time, despite the 93° heat.”

What a great way to beat the heat!
Here in the western US, the air temp is always a nice 65=70 degF at 6,500-7,500 ft with the ground temps over 100 degF.!!!
It’s just uncomfortable when we have to land.!!
