I’m a BackcountryPilot.org fan. Zane Jacobson is as creative as they come. Back in May, Zane joined CubCrafters direct sales manager Brad Damm on a Top Cub delivery trip from Yakima to Anchorage. Thursday, Zane released “To Alaska – Part 1: Yakima to Prince George“. Do yourself a favor and take 5+ minutes from your […]
Video: NBAA talks RPA
“The FAA is expected to issue its notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) on unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) [which we name remotely piloted aircraft (RPA)] by the end of 2014. In a standing-room-only session at NBAA2014, a panel discussion covered many questions: Will UAS operators be required to be certificated pilots? Will the UAS itself have to be certificated? Video: Fosdick Flyers meets every Saturday
Since 1991, the Fosdick Flyers – a group of social aviators – meets most Saturdays for a breakfast fly-out. The group flies from Tacoma Narrows (KTIW) in Gig Harbor to area airport restaurants. Pierce County TV won a second-place award for their video report on the group.

Video: Dream of Paradise
“I find it difficult enough to explain to fellow glider pilots let alone non-flyers the sense of wonder and awe I feel, not to mention the fun I have, when flying in the Alps and that is only in the small part that I have explored so far,” says YouTube publisher “Belleka”. “The whole experience is made even better by the cool group of dudes I am fortunate enough to go adventuring with. I hope this goes some way in sharing the joy of soaring in Paradise.”

Using a DJI Phantom radio-controlled quadcopter and a GoPro Hero 3… oh, and a couple of full-scale taildraggers produced some stunning scenery.
