Help save 18 backcountry airstrips in Utah
The Recreational Aviation Foundation (RAF) has put out a call to action for pilots to submit positive comments on the Bureau of Land Management’s plan for the Bears Ears National Monument (BENM) in Utah, which would effectively close 16 backcountry airstrips.
Textron Aviation expands parts distribution facility
With the addition of 180,000 square feet of space, the facility is better equipped to serve the company’s global customer base with increased parts storage and faster shipping for both new and existing Cessna and Beechcraft aircraft, according to Textron Aviation officials.

Electric motor completes first phase of testing
The testing focused on high voltage (800V) operations and thermal performance, according to company officials, who said the results confirmed the magni650 electric engine’s capabilities at altitudes of up to 27,500 feet.
