The Belite Aircraft factory fire, life, and so forth got in the way. But I’m flying it now. This photo was shot with an Insta360 X2 on a 10′ boom mounted to the lift strut over McMaster Gliderport (29KS) in Kansas, which the base of my airplane activities.”

Richard Steeves submitted this photo and note: “Built by David Rasor in Spokane, Washington, after 5,000 man-hours over 9.5 years, this fine example of the Coot is still flying after 35 years with nearly 1,000 hours of flight time. David claims that it climbs at 1,200 to 1,500 fpm and takes off water in less than 1,000 feet, fully loaded. This photo was taken by David’s daughter, Leesa Birdsall, as David flew N555DR in close formation. The Coot was designed by Molt Taylor in 1970, and its builders are supported at Coot-Builders.com.”

Michael Kilcher submitted this photo and note: “A number of fellow pilots and I rendezvoused at the Sport Island Pub on the Great Sacandaga Lake in upstate New York. We dropped in for lunch at this lakeside restaurant. This was my first time landing on the ice in my wheeled Cessna 172. Along with my 172 are a pair of PA-12 Super Cruisers and a pair of Cubs, all on skis. Not pictured, but part of our group that day, are a Cessna 185 on retractable wheel-skis and a Bell 206B.”
