Rusty Eichorn submitted this photo and note: “These identical USFS Beavers make the trek every spring and fall from Ely, Minnesota, to Grand Rapids for their semi-annual float changeovers at Airways Aviation. They switch to hydraulic wheel skis for the winter flying season.”

I took this photo from 1,500 feet AGL while piloting a Cessna 172 on a round-trip cross-country from Marion Airport (C17) outside Cedar Rapids.”
Picture of the Day: A friend indeed
Steven Davis sent in this photo with a note: “I had a friend in a Tiger, Samuel Sun, pull back his canopy to grab a few shots of my RV-14A flying amongst the Cascades. He truly is a friend…as it was early spring and rather cold up there.”
Picture of the Day: Trying To Land In The Zone
Rusty Eichorn submitted this photo and note: “Executing a grass landing as our pond at Grand Rapids/Itasca County Airport-Gordon Newstrom Field (KGPZ) in Minnesota was frozen for the winter. I touched down just shy of the landing zone that I had marked and came to a stop within my self-prescribed landing zone. This is the third year in a row that I have procrastinated to get it into the airport in time to land on water. From there we put it on a float trailer and brought it to the hangar for the float change over.”
Picture of the Day: A Sight To Behold
Mike Matheny submitted this photo with a note: “An OV-10 Bronco on display at the National Naval Air Museum in Pensacola, Florida. This is the plane that I put ordinance on between 1971-1977 while in the Marines. I had not laid eyes on a Bronco in 57 years. It brought back a lot of memories. Semper Fi!”

Wes Wojciechowicz submitted this photo with a note: “On a sunset training flight with my instructor, stopped for fuel at Gallia-Meigs Regional Airport (KGAS) in Gallipolis, Ohio. His plane with the sun in the background.”
