Mary Ann Lebold submitted this photo and note: “Dale Weir and granddaughter Abbie Weir settle into Dale’s J-3 Cub for a flight review. Who do you think is the CFI and who is being reviewed? It’s not what you probably think. Abbie is the CFI and Dale is being reviewed! At the end of the day, CFI Abbie signed her grandpa’s log book.”

Brad McColl submitted this photo and note: “For almost a decade, I flew this aircraft across the U.S., parts of Canada, and the Caribbean. We had our moments, but through most of it, she was my best friend and co-explorer. Through snowstorms, heavy rain, and around some monster thunderstorms, she demonstrated her well-designed lineage. Two hundred overcast fog and rain were often our destination, but the rabbit was always there, right where it was supposed to be, and she made sure that my passengers and I were too. That part of my life is over now, but when I die, I will think of her and smile.”

All proceeds raised during go to each boat’s designated charity and Color On The Creek. The event runs from mid-November through the second Saturday in March, but voting continues.”
