Bob Bement submitted this photo and note: “This little guy just loves airplanes. His dad says that he always wants to come out and see the airplanes. They live close to the airport and when he hears one start up he wants to come and see it. When I found out about the 3 year old with a passion for airplanes, I asked them to go for a ride in an airplane. I think he loved it, even if he had trouble seeing out, even sitting on a booster seat. I love to give first flights.”

The strip is just above the tide line and below the bluff. It provides access to our cabins via an hour flight from Anchorage vs. the old five hour drive. This picture was taken during a moose hunting trip.

Back via Talkeetna, Whitehorse, and Hood River. Seen here at Akshiok International Airport. 6,000 miles, a lot of weather, 7.5 gph average, a leaking nose strut. Second time doing it. Every time a joy.”
