Picture of the Day: See Amelia fly!
Jennifer Thomas submitted this photo and note: “I took this photo of Amelia, age 9, sporting a Girls in Aviation Day backpack from Women in Aviation International, the non-profit organization I work for part-time. Amelia, her siblings, and Grandpa were enjoying an afternoon at the WACO Fly-In held in Troy, Ohio, in September 2020. Amelia’s backpack was full of goodies, including a copy of Aviation for Girls magazine and other fun items to encourage her to become involved in aviation. If her name is any indication, I’d say she has a good chance of becoming a pilot!”

“Fun fact: Ken Godfrey is the fourth person I’ve given a ride to that became a pilot. And the second to become a pilot and buy his own aircraft. Long live general aviation!”

Faribault, Minnesota (KFBL) airport, just south of the Twin Cities metro area, is the new home of SteinAir, the specialist in experimental (and certified) aircraft panels and avionics. Faribault Airport is also recovering from a tornado that went through in September 2018, which took out a number of airplanes and hangars.”
