Florida’s Aerospace Center for Excellence introduces preschool program

ABC 33/40, an Alabama-based ABC television affiliate, recently posted a news story featuring Major Anthony Tisdale, an Air Force pilot who leads a summer camp for kids through Operation Aviation Foundation. The segment calls Tisdale “An Alabama Champion,” while he tells the news station that he really wishes a camp like this had been available when he was learning to fly.

Failure to see and avoid results in one plane landing on top of another

The pilot of the departing airplane’s failure to see and avoid the landing airplane before takeoff, resulting in a collision with the landing airplane. Contributing was the airport’s failure to encourage pilots to use radios for traffic deconfliction when equipped.
