Rather than putting tens of thousands of dollars into a sports car to assuage our fear of aging, why not learn to fly? Video: ATC at OSH
Ever wonder what the tower at Oshkosh is like during the week of the show? Check out Fred Johnsen’s video, which chronicles the bustling radio communications as FAA controllers talk with pilots and each other to safely move huge numbers of airplanes through the airspace around Oshkosh. Quieter than a dishwasher
I’ll even hazard a guess that quieter aircraft would tamp down the pressure to close or restrict operations at the nation’s airports. It might even lower the heat on “getting the lead out” of avgas.
Pre-show storms batter Oshkosh grounds
Two days before the start of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2022, a thunderstorm ripped through the grounds, causing some damage, but fortunately no injuries.
