The ultimate investment

Rather than putting tens of thousands of dollars into a sports car to assuage our fear of aging, why not learn to fly? Rather than taking on six figure debt to upscale into a bigger, more expensive house in an effort to impress the Joneses, wouldn’t we be better off to invest just a small fraction of that amount in ourselves?

Ever wonder what the tower at Oshkosh is like during the week of the show? Check out Fred Johnsen’s video, which chronicles the bustling radio communications as FAA controllers talk with pilots and each other to safely move huge numbers of airplanes through the airspace around Oshkosh. The familiar call from controllers to pilots: “Rock your wings” is an Oshkosh staple, allowing controllers to positively identify aircraft they are communicating with.
