Aviation Summit to include Parade of Planes

By General Aviation News Staff · May 28, 2014 ·

The 2014 Aviation Summit will host the Parade of Planes at the event, scheduled for Oct. 31-Nov. 2 in Palm Springs, Calif.

The Parade of Planes is set for Oct. 30. The planes will taxi from the Palm Springs International Airport to the Palm Springs Convention Center, traveling down East Alejo Road to North Avenida Caballeros.

The parade is reversed on Nov. 2, as the planes will taxi back to the airport.

“There’s nothing quite like the Parade of Planes anywhere else in the country,” said Marco Parrotto, president of Lift Event Management, who is planning and organizing the event. “It allows fans to get up close and personal with some of the most sophisticated aircraft in the country and in the world.”

Numerous planes are expected to participate and hundreds are expected to be lining the streets for the parade.

Also participating in the Parade will be exotic luxury cars from Dream Racing, a company from Las Vegas that allows fans to drive cars like a Ferrari F430 GT around Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Dream Racing will be on site at the Aviation Summit providing attendees the experience to drive some of the finest vehicles in the world.

Lift Event Management, headquartered in Las Vegas, is producing the 2014 Aviation Summit. The weekend will include three days of events, education, parties and parades. This event will be an opportunity to learn about new products, receive technical advice from manufacturers and participate in hands-on demonstrations.
