One of the country’s oldest optical companies, American Optical Eyewear, is now offering its famous Skymaster Series of sunglasses exclusively through Sporty’s. The sunglasses are built to commercial specifications, which are even more stringent than U.S. military specifications.
The sunglasses offer maximum protection against UV rays; distortion-free true color lenses; and sturdy, adjustable temple tips for custom comfort. The lenses are chemically hardened for impact resistance. American Optical’s Flight Goggle 58 was even used by the crew of the Eagle during the first moon landing in 1969. The pilot sunglasses are based on this same famous model.
The sunglasses are available in two sizes: 52 mm and 57 mm in a black, chrome or gold frame. Price: $69.
