Business Jet Center expands Oakland facility

By General Aviation News Staff · August 18, 2006 ·

Business Jet Center has added a new hangar to its Oakland International Airport (OAK) facility.

The 42,000-square-foot structure, which more than doubles Business Jet Center’s current hangar space, adds capacity at an airport that is growing in popularity in the busy Northern California business aircraft corridor. The expansive hangar, which is the largest facility of its type dedicated to business aircraft in the Bay Area, incorporates oversized 50-foot-tall automatic doors and can accommodate a combination of the largest business aircraft, including the Boeing Business Jet, Gulfstream 550 and Global Express.

Formerly a commercial airlines maintenance facility, the hangar has available office and shop space and integrates an integral high capacity foam fire suppression system and an electronic security system. It is available for both long term and overnight aircraft storage.
