The aviation community faced many challenges in 2009. The TSA’s controversial Large Aircraft Security Program proposal, the aircraft emissions proposals introduced in the U.S. and overseas, continuing concerns over user fees as part of FAA reauthorization, and ongoing work to preserve access at local airports were just a few of the issues confronting the industry.
