Christopher Ward recently unveiled two new aviation watches, the C5 Malvern Aviator Mk II and the C8 Pilot Mk II.
The C5 Malvern Aviator Mk II is taking the place of the limited edition (1,936 pieces) C5 Mark I, which has sold out. The C5 Malvern Aviator Mark II has a 38mm diameter case and was inspired by the very first ‘Big Pilot’s watches’ known as the B-Uhren, or B-Uhr for short, which were originally developed for the Luftwaffe’s navigators in 1936 and for the RAF during World War II. The ETA 2824-2 automatic movement in the C5 Aviator Mark II is visible through an exhibition window, while upgraded luminosity gives exceptional night-time visibility.
The design of the Christopher Ward C8 Pilot Mark II owes much to the requests from members of the independent Christopher Ward forum. Customers, fans and watch enthusiasts – particularly those who collect aviation watches – championed the retro design and asked for wider luminous hands so they were more clearly visible at night. The watch also has a soft-iron anti-magnetic cage inside the outer case to protect the movement from electrical interference.
Like the C5 Malvern Aviator Mk II, the C8 is inspired by the iconic B-Uhr watches used by the Luftwaffe in the late 1930s and then the RAF. It also shares the same automatic movement – the ETA 2824-2 – which can be seen through an exhibition window.
All watches come with a 60-day no quibble return policy and a 60-month warranty.

While very nice, and I’d like the high-light feature, I’d prefer on that is more similar to a hanhart.
